McKENZIE, Mary, gave birth to female child (Ida?) in St. Kilda home of nurse Mrs. Amy HOLLAND in 1907.  She claimed to be a married woman, MACK, was accompanied by a friend Mrs. ROSS; believed they came from Sydney.  The child was given to nurse Jennie ROSE of Elsternwick the next day, and they left.  Amy Holland charged with failure to register birth within 3 days.  14 pages, List 33.

McLOUGHLIN, Bridget.  Has 2 children in 1901, John STARLING, mother Maria of Gippsland, and Thomas WALL, mother Mary of Leongatha.  Monthly Return, List 14.

McLOUGHLIN, Mrs., nurse, Brunswick.  Anonymous letter in 1901 states that she is neglecting the five infants (unnamed) in her care, has five children of her own, runs cows and sells milk. Report states she was deserted by her husband, an ex-member of the police force, and gives her a good character.  7 pages, List 39.

McLOUGHLIN, Mrs. Bridget, nurse, Brunswick, receives a female infant in 1905, but mother gave false details and can’t be traced.  She is charged, but case dropped at the direction of the Bench.  17 pages, List 47.

McMILLAN, Alice Mary.  Gave birth to illegitimate child Margaret Fairfax SEATON in stepfather’s house in 1904.  List 16.

McMILLAN, Catherine, married woman, East Brunswick, laundress, applied to be registered in 1903.  She has a boarder, Annie GRAHAM, who has been admitted to hospital, leaving her 3 month old infant with McMillan.  6 pages, List 49.
