Melbourne Cemetery AngelBookings are essential, and the tours are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions.

No tours are run in July or August because of weather conditions.

Please note that it is not necessary to have gone on Part 1 of any tour before booking for Parts 2, 3 or 4.

July and August – No tours are planned because of the predicted weather conditions – well it is winter!

September 5 – No tour as Helen will be speaking at the Friends of St. Kilda cemetery AGM.

September 12, 26 – Who was Who, Part 1
Visit the graves of a wide variety of 19th century Victorian characters, from the ghost of the Princess Theatre, to the victim of one of the most sensational murder cases in our history.

October 3, 17 – Medicos & Misadventures
Hear the tales of 19th century medical men, their patients and the treatments they inflicted on the sufferers.

October 24, 31 – The Gentle Sex, Part 1
Learn about some 19th century women and the varied lives they led.

November 7, 14, 21  Dead Pollies Tour
Think you know Victoria’s political history?  Who was the MP who seduced his wife’s sister?  Who was the MP who bankrolled brothel purchases?  Which MP was also a well-known abortionist?  Join us for a light-hearted look at some 19th century politicians as we begin the countdown to the Victorian State election. 50% of proceeds from these tours will go to The Greens Eastern Metropolitan Region Election Campaign.

December 5 -   Eureka revisited
Visit the graves of some of those who were involved in the Eureka rebellion or goldfields life.
